Interruption of Proximity presents two monsters with mutable bodies undefined by gender. A compulsion for closeness appears between the two figures while their facial expression depicts a mix of joy and discomfort. The left figure stands straight while its companion rest on a kneeling knight posture split away from a sharp negative space. Appearing to piece themselves together from aggregated paint gestures, draw marks and paper collages disposed on drywall, the monsters defy socially constructed systems of power that have historically limited society to become figures of power and personal freedom through their abjection.
